Making your first $100,000 online is not as hard as you think.
In today's newsletter, I'm going to go over what I think is the best way to make your first $100,000 online, how I have made my first $100,000 online, and the systems you can use to make your first dollar online.
And before we begin, this newsletter is not going to be about dropshipping, e-commerce, content creation, YouTube, or any other methods that you've seen in a million articles online
Specifically, I will cover how to make your first $100,000 online by providing freelance services online and how you can scale your freelance business to multi-six figures.
For the full breakdown, watch the linked YouTube video above.
Step 1: Learn a Skill
Before you can start making money online, you need to develop a valuable skill. It doesn't require a fancy degree or years of training.
Platforms like YouTube and Skillshare offer numerous courses where you can learn skills like graphic design, writing, coding, and more.
Your goal is to become an expert in these skills so you can provide them as a service to companies online. Once you have started learning a skill, you can begin to offer it as a paid service to potential clients.
Step 2: Start Freelancing
Freelancing is the way to go. Instead of being tied to a 9-to-5 job, freelancers offer their skills to clients on a project-to-project or monthly basis.
You can find clients on websites like Upwork and Fiverr, or even within your network of friends and family.
Don't worry if you don't have a portfolio yet; you can create spec projects to showcase your abilities. Just remember that clients want to see the specific work that you want to do. So if you want to design websites for food companies, create 2 or 3 example projects to showcase this.
Step 3: Niche Down
The key to success in freelancing is narrowing your focus. Specializing in a niche, such as food and beverage or web design, allows you to charge more for your expertise.
Clients will see you as the go-to expert in that field. This approach helps you stand out and earn higher income. The riches are in the niches, so define an industry you are interested in and learn to solve a specific problem for that industry to charge more for each project you take on.
Step 4: Build a Referral Network
Your satisfied clients can become your best advocates.
After completing a project, don't hesitate to ask if they know anyone else who could benefit from your services. Referrals are a powerful way to attract new clients without spending a dime on advertising.
This is how I scaled my design agency, Noble Prince Design Co., to six figures by turning my happy clients into my best sales people with out spending a dime on advertising.
Step 5: Establish an Online Presence
Creating an online brand is crucial. Share your work and expertise on platforms like Instagram and YouTube.
By providing valuable content and showcasing your skills, you can attract clients who are already interested in what you have to offer.
You can also nurture future clients who are not ready to work with you yet and educate them before they even contact you through organic content.
Step 6: Partner with Agencies
One of the hidden secrets to scaling your freelance business is partnering with agencies. Reach out to design or marketing agencies and offer your services. This can lead to high-paying opportunities and consistent work.
This is how I was able to work with companies like Amazon, AMC networks, and BET when I just started. Build relationships with agency owners, and help them with overflow work to start working with their clients.
In conclusion, making $100,000 online is achievable by learning valuable skills, freelancing, niching down, building a referral network, establishing an online presence, and partnering with agencies. With dedication and the right guidance, you can reach your financial goals as a freelancer.
